Balloon Manifesto
This is a movement to awaken the inner innocence of adults. I call on the workers who work hard for a living, who live in the middle and lower classes of society to participate in the movement, hoping to help them find their childlike innocence. In the early stage, I led the workers to participate in the assembly line cutting and sewing of balloons, and enjoyed the production process. The colorful fabric, random splicing and the uncertain shape of the balloon finally express a state of innocence, because I think children's world is colorful, full of imagination and uncertainty. In the later stage, some children were invited to cut and make a small balloon. The little balloon and the big balloon, the natural interaction between the children and the balloon, the rigid performance of the workers and the balloon formed a sharp contrast. To reveal the sadness of the adult world behind this activity.

The adult world?
Lonely! Indifferent! Miserable!
Adult's sorrow
starts with the loss of childlike innocence.
When did people become less innocent?
When did people's eyes become no longer clear?
When did people start to see the world as less colourful?
What has been insisted upon, believed in, fantasized about,
has been abandoned bit by bit.
And you've been told that the world is complicated;
you should behave like an adult;
you should be sensible;
you should control your feelings;
you should look forward and
start a new life;
you should be submissive.
Fish live in different seas.
To grow, adapt and accept,
gradually, you lose the most precious innocence.
Then you become insignificant and pretend to live your life,
embarrassed around talking about the meaning of life,
poetry and distance,
submissive, timid and realistic.
There is only one kind of heroism in life.
That is to recognize the truth of life and still love life.
Innocence is the kind of heroism.
Never lose your childlike curiosity and childish enthusiasm.
Purify the malice of your mind.
In the colourful and beautiful world,
open your heart.
Embrace this ridiculous and gentle world
like a child.
No matter what happens, fill yourself with
all that hope for and curiosity about the world.
See the world in a simple way and set yourself free.
Be free and live.
